Centre d'Etudes et d'Essais spécialisé en mécanique des fluides

History

CERG was born out of the determination of leading manufacturers in the field of fluid mechanics to provide themselves with Europe's most effective tool.

The laboratory was developed by ASLTHOM as a fluid engineering laboratory. The mid-20th Century saw the birth of hydroelectricity and the emergence of energy challenges. Our experience has been forged through projects and has followed the story of ALSTOM and Hydraulique Dauphinoise.

1962
ALSTHOM took over NEYRPIC and SOGREAH. The Fluid Engineering research centre was initially set up in SOGREAH and then in NEYRPIC.

1970s
The Fluid Engineering laboratory was taken over by NEYRTEC and renamed the Centre d'Essais et de Recherche, CER (Test and Research centre). New buildings were built because NEYRTEC wanted to provide the laboratory with the best test facilities in Europe.

1980s
ACB ALSTHOM took over part of NEYRTEC's activity and renamed CER, CERG - Centre d'Etudes et de Recherche de Grenoble.

1990s
ACB ALSTHOM became ASLTOM Fluides et Mécaniques and then ALSTOM Bergeron.

2000s
ALSTOM FLUIDES ET MECANIQUES.

2007
CERG became a private independent company

2012
CERG celebrated 50 years in support of your design, testing and engineering projects, standing the test of time.

2013
Investment to implement new test platforms like ECARO, EPEC3, SUBSONIC.

2014
Extensions were added and the laboratory dedicated to hydrocarbons was renovated.

2015
CERG modernised its corporate identity.

Now
CERG is expanding into the energy, water & environment and oil & gas markets.
